Women of Nice Collection; call for women For my 13 oil-on-canvas, large format, works, I am still searching for the 169 volunteer women (60 confirmed), who would like to be featured in one of these paintings. Thirteen paintings with thirteen women in each, from any country, of any complexion, of any experience, of any age, size or level of confidence, make up the main body of the WON Collection. Each woman will also be in a large individual portrait plus a small facial portrait. These 351 oil paintings will become The Women of Nice Collection. It will take me 15 years to complete but I am filling the reserved spots as soon as I can. I have 60 spots filled already. I work from the photos that each woman sends me. They each decide which painting they'd like to be in and they each choose what to wear. Therefore, the featured women have a strong say in how they will be portrayed. UPDATE (2025) I understand how many years have passed since both my studios were forced to close because of their eventual uncommerciality. Since 2018 I have failed to recoup losses. However, I am still optimistic that my large Women of Nice painting will find a buyer. Jin's Art Studio, Dublin Opened Dec. 2009. NOW Closed As the first Jin's Art Studio, the Dublin venue has thrived from it's very first day. Creating a relaxed, friendly and comfortable environment, the Studio was an instant hit with the local population. Jin's laid back approach in guiding and encouraging new artists who, for the most part, had never painted with oils before, has been the key in opening the minds and confidence of those who decide to give his classes in 'Oil Painting for Beginners' a go. It's success and the brilliant support of his students has enabled the opening on Jin's Art Studio in Nice on the French Riviera. Jin's Art Studio, Nice. Opened from September 2013 until September 2014. It is now closed. The opening of Jin's Art Studio in Nice greatly encouraged interest within the general Cote d'Azur area for his 'Oil Painting for Beginners' classes. With local support and advise, the day for his unique and simple way of teaching arrived. It was a great experience for those who decided to try it out. It was a year from which Jin gained a huge amount of information about how his Studio format can affect, in a very positive way, the daily lives of people.
